Abstract in other languages: Els pòsters són una forma habitual de compartir la recerca en moltes ciències pures, però encara no són la norma en Traductologia. Amb el creixent nombre de conferències de Traductologia que ofereixen un espai per a pòsters, vam examinar les opinions i expectatives dels acadèmics de l’àrea sobre pòsters i presentacions orals i el seu comportament en conferències. Mitjançant una enquesta en línia dirigida a la comunitat acadèmica de Traductologia, vam demostrar el supòsit que els pòsters no són una forma preferida d’intercanvi d’investigació i vam analitzar possibles motius per explicar la reticència a fer pòsters. Els resultats (n = 103) confirmen una preferència per fer presentacions orals en comptes de pòsters i altres idees sobre com els acadèmics comparteixen resultats d’ investigació en conferències. Entre altres qüestions, la pressió per crear un bon currículum, la idea que els panels temàtics són la millor manera d’avançar en recerca i la visió d’un pòster com estàtic i avorrit semblen recolzar el posicionament en contra de fer pòsters a conferències de Traductologia. Posters are a common way of sharing research in many pure sciences, but are not yet the norm in Translation Studies. With the rising number of Translation Studies conferences providing a space for posters, we looked into the opinions and expectations of Translation Studies scholars regarding posters and oral presentations and how the scholars behave in conferences. Via an online survey addressed to the Translation Studies academic community, we tested the assumption that posters are not a preferable form of sharing research and looked into possible reasons to explain the reluctance to do posters. Results (n=103) confirm a preference for oral presentations over posters and provide other insights on how scholars envisage the sharing of research in conferences. Among other issues, the pressure to build a strong CV, the idea that close-knitted thematic spaces are the best way to advance one’s research and the idea of a posters as static and dull seem to be behind the position against presenting posters at Translation Studies conferences.
