Abstract: No consta Cuando hablamos del Bitcoin, no nos referimos simplemente a una criptomoneda, también engloba todo un sistema innovador que hay detrás de él. El presente estudio no solamente analiza la criptomoneda y su sistema operativo, sino que además intenta aconsejar sobre la viabilidad de la inversión en Bitcoin. El proyecto está estructurado en dos grandes bloques, uno de carácter más teórico i el otro más práctico. En el primer bloque, se define que es el Bitcoin i todo lo que le rodea, así como también los fundamentos de su sistema, el blockchain. Además, se han comparado las ventajas y riesgos de esta criptomoneda y las diferencias entre el Bitcoin i el dinero fiduciario. Por lo que respecta al bloque práctico, se ha estudiado la correlación del Bitcoin con los principales índices bursátiles y también el binomio rentabilidad-riesgo, parámetro muy importante en el momento de realizar una inversión. Para terminar, en las conclusiones finales se ha dado una respuesta justificada al que se pregunta en el título del proyecto: ¿invertir o no invertir en Bitcoin? When we talk about Bitcoin, we don’t simply refer to cryptocurrencies, it also includes all the entire innovative system behind it. The present study does not only analyze the cryptocurrency and its operating system, but also tries to give advice on the viability of investment in Bitcoin. The project is structured in two big blocks, one more theoretical and the other one more practical. In the first block, we define Bitcoin and what surrounds it, as well as the bases of its system, the blockchain. In addition, the advantages and risks of this cryptocurrency and the differences between Bitcoin and the fiduciary money have been compared. Regarding to the practical block, we have studied the correlation of Bitcoin with the main stock market indexes and also the return-risk binomial, a parameter that is very important at the time of making an investment. At the end, in the final conclusions we have given a justified answer to what is being asked in the title of the project: to invest or not to invest in Bitcoin? Quan parlem del Bitcoin, no ens referim simplement a una criptomoneda, també engloba tot el sistema innovador que hi ha al seu darrere. El present estudi no només analitza la criptomoneda i el seu sistema operatiu, sinó que a més intenta aconsellar sobre la viabilitat de la inversió en Bitcoin. El projecte està estructurat en dos grans blocs, un de caire més teòric i l’altre més pràctic. En el primer bloc, es defineix el què és el Bitcoin i el que l’envolta, així com també els fonaments del seu sistema, el blockchain. A més, s’han comparat els avantatges i riscs d’aquesta criptomoneda i les diferències del Bitcon amb el diner fiduciari. Pel que fa al bloc pràctic, s’ha estudiat la correlació del Bitcoin amb els principals índexs borsaris i també el binomi rendibilitat-risc, paràmetre molt important a l’hora de realitzar una inversió. Per acabar, a les conclusions finals es dóna una resposta justificada al què es pregunta en el títol del projecte: invertir o no invertir en Bitcoin?
