Abstract: RESUMEN Introducción: Los recién nacidos prematuros, debido a la inmadurez de sus órganos y sistemas, tienen un riesgo elevado de afectación en su neurodesarrollo. La implantación del método NIDCAP, mediante los cuidados centrados en el desarrollo (CCD), individualizados y adaptados a sus necesidades ayudan a prevenir las complicaciones, propias de la prematuridad a corto, medio y largo plazo. Estos CCD, son responsabilidad de enfermería en su mayoría, y precisa de formación específica para llevarlos a cabo junto con los padres, para integrarlos, siendo la pieza clave y fundamental en los cuidados. Objetivo: Determinar la eficacia de implantar el modelo NIDCAP en las UCIN. Metodología: Estudio documental y descriptivo, mediante una revisión bibliográfica sistemática de publicaciones en bases de datos de Ciencias de la Salud. Resultados: De los 17 artículos estudiados, un 36% demuestra que la aplicación de método NIDCAP aumenta el grado de satisfacción de los padres y profesionales, un 22% que los profesionales necesitan formación para la correcta implementación, un 14% que la aplicación de este método disminuye el estrés y protege el desarrollo cerebral, otro 14% que su aplicación reduce la estancia y el coste hospitalario, y por último, 2 con un 7% reafirman que, la aplicación del método NIDCAP y los respectivos CCD empoderan a los padres y eso se traduce en una mejora en la estructura y función cerebral del RN. Conclusión: Los beneficios para el RN, sus padres y el equipo de profesionales implicados en el proceso, representan un avance importantísimo en el cuidado integral de los RN prematuros. Por lo que aplicar estos CCD y, el método NIDCAP tiene un impacto positivo a nivel neurobiológico sobre éste, y en sus diferentes etapas (infancia, adolescencia y edad adulta). Y dada la dificultad y complejidad que conllevan para la correcta implementación, por los diversos cambios que suponen en la unidad y en el equipo profesional, se asuma la responsabilidad ineludible de enfermería para garantizar la calidad de los cuidados humanizados e individualizados en el RN prematuro. Palabras clave: Recién nacido, Neonato, Cuidado del desarrollo, Programa de evaluación, NIDCAP y Enfermería SUMMARY Introduction: premature newborn babies, due to their immature organs and systems, have a high risk of affectation on their neurodevelopment. The establishment of the method NIDCAP by means of the development of centred care measures (DCC), which are individualised and adapted to their own necessities and which help to prevent the complications inner to prematurity in the short, medium and long term. These DCC, are the responsibility of nursing for the most part, and it requires specific training to accomplish together with the parents in order to integrate them, being the cornerstone in their care measures. Objective: to determine the effectiveness of introducing the exemplary NIDCAP in the NICUs Methodology: A documentary and descriptive study, by means of a systematic bibliographic revision in the database of the Health Sciences. Results: taking into account the 17 observed articles, 36% shows that the implementation of the method NIDCAP increases the degree of satisfaction of the parents and professionals, 22% shows that the professionals need training for the correct implementation, 14% shows that the implementation of this method reduces the stress and protects the brain development, another 14% shows that its implementation reduces the stay and hospital cost and lastly, 2 with 7% reasserts that the implementation of the method NIDCAP and their corresponding DCC empower the parents and this implies an improvement in the structure and in the brain function of the newborn babies Conclusion: the benefits for the newborn babies, their parents and the professional team involved in the process, represent a great development in the comprehensive care of the premature newborn babies. Thus, the application of these DCC and the method NIDACP has a positive impact on the neurobiological level of the the newborn babies and on their different life stages (childhood, adolescence and adulthood). La implantació del mètode NIDCAP, mitjançant les cures centrades en el desenvolupament (CCD), individualitzats i adaptats a les seves necessitats ajuden a prevenir les complicacions, pròpies de la prematuritat a curt, mitjà i llarg termini. Aquests CCD, són responsabilitat d'infermeria en la seva majoria, i precisa de formació específica per a dur-los a terme juntament amb els pares, per a integrar-los, sent la peça clau i fonamental en les cures. Objectiu: Determinar l'eficàcia d'implantar el model NIDCAP en les UCIN. Metodologia: Estudi documental i descriptiu, mitjançant una revisió bibliogràfica sistemàtica de publicacions en bases de dades de Ciències de la Salut. Conclusió: Els beneficis per al RN, els seus pares i l'equip de professionals implicats en el procés, representen un avanç importantíssim en la cura integral dels RN prematurs. Pel que aplicar aquests CCD i, el mètode NIDCAP té un impacte positiu a nivell neurobiològic sobre aquest i en les seves diferents etapes (infància, adolescència i edat adulta). I donada la dificultat i complexitat que comporten per a la correcta implementació, pels diversos canvis que suposen en la unitat i en l'equip professional, s'assumeixi la responsabilitat ineludible d'infermeria per a garantir la qualitat de les cures humanitzades i individualitzades en el RN prematur.
