Abstract: There is a line of research that studies the role of growth factor 15 (GDF15) in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). This TFG, thanks to the spectra provided by MSI of different liver tissues, performs a data analysis to achieve the detection of the lipid families. It is concluded that in the absence of GDF15 there is an accumulation of lipid droplets, therefore this protein has a role in lipid metabolism. On the other hand, the type of accumulated lipids is not of the lysophospholipid family since these are down-regulated in the absence of GDF15. Hi ha una línia de recerca que estudia el rol del factor de creixement 15 (GDF15) en la malaltia del fetge gras no alcohòlic (NAFLD). Aquest TFG, gràcies als espectres proporcionats per MSI de diferents teixits hepàtics, fa una anàlisi de dades per aconseguir la detecció de les famílies lipídiques. Es conclou que en absència de GDF15 hi ha acumulació de lipid droplets, per tant aquesta proteïna té un rol al metabolisme de lípids. En canvi, el tipus de lípids acumulats no és de la família de lisofosfolípids ja que aquests es troben down-regulated en absència de GDF15.
