    Resumen:
Without proper treatment, diabetes mellitus (DM), a non-communicable disease, can cause severe health problems in patients, considerably affecting their quality of lite, economic stability, and personal well-being. Understanding how DM affects patients and their environment is essential, along with having the required medical recommendations and resources to manage their condilion. This includes access to appropriate technology and medicaUon to ensure a balanced approach to DM. Accessibility to information and communication technologies is consldered a social determinan! of health because it may lead to disparities in accessing lnformation and managing health servlces. Accordingly, this thesis aims to (1) analyse online health informaUon-seeking behaviour as a measure of public knowledge of DM and (2) find the overlapping geographlcal pattems among socioeconomlc, technological, governmental, epidemlological, and demographic factors.
