    Abstract:
    Abstract The current study is realized about the dance of the Sardana, the official dance of Catalonia. The main aim of our study is to understand the positive and negative emotions of the people who practice this dance. The methodology used in this research is qualitative applying the technique of focal groups. Participants: Two groups of six people each, separated by age, that are or have been sardanist (Person who dances sardana) in a competitive level. Location of the intervention: Agrupació Sardanista Tarragona Dansa. Results: It is detected that the sardana significantly affects mostly the positive emotions. We emphasize the benefit to the physical and mental health that this dance involves for the people who practise it. Another point of value for this research is the datum on the instrument flabiol. This is synonym with concentration, seriousness and moment to prove what you have been working on in the trials. It strengthens values such as commitment or obligation.
