The right to know donor's identity

  • Identification data

    Identifier:  TFG:531
    Authors:  Jover Rodríguez, Andrea Laia
    Abstract:
The present article aims to analyse the right to know the biological origins of the born by assisted reproduction techniques, especially the right to know the donor’s identity. Thus, the study pretends to examine whether there exists any justification to allow the differential treatment between adopted people and people conceived by these techniques when they want to know about their origins, since they both present similarities. In order to achieve these objectives, the analysis is focused on different international documents, the Spanish Constitution, the Civil Code of Catalonia and the Law 14/2006, from May 26th of Assisted Human Reproduction Techniques, finishing the article with a comparative law standpoint.
