    Abstract:
    Abstract The school nurse is a figure that is increasingly becoming more important in society, spreading throughout the school community. The need for an analysis of various scientific publications may favor that gradually go increasing progress and promoting school nurse, an emerging profile of nursing. The aim of this work is to perform a literature review to analyze the literature on school nursing and highlight the important role that develops in schools. It conducted a literature review of the literature, with a total of 23 items selected in different electronic databases both nationally and internationally. a set of criteria for inclusion and exclusion when search and subsequent selection were taken into account. The available information shows the need for a school nurse in the classroom. Both clinical work and promotion and health prevention is highly effective in students of schools, improving their quality of life and knowledge of health in a critical stage of life to acquire healthy habits The role of the nurse is essential in the orientation and training of students, families and teachers and nonteaching schools. Many aspects dealing nursing schools, becoming a fundamental and indispensable tool.
