Psychoeducational Variables Related to Academic Performance in Undergraduate Students

Abstract:
This study analyzes the relationship between sociodemographic, academic, and psychological variables associated with well-being and academic adjustment in a Spanish-speaking population. Standardized scales and an ad hoc questionnaire were administered. The results show that academic performance has explanatory power regarding thoughts of dropping out of school and highlight the importance of further research into student anxiety. Additionally, correlations of interest for designing intervention plans in the university setting were identified. However, no risk groups were found based on sex or sexual orientation.
