Description:	The regulation of publishing professions and the control of their trade are the two foundations of associations in the book business. The invention of the printing press transformed the known book trade, and the corporatism of the booksellers of the Crown of Aragon throughout the early modern period, albeit somewhat belatedly compared to other trades, sought to clarify the conflicts of wrongful exercise of a profession that, in their opinion, the printers were trying to impose. The controversy between booksellers and printers to achieve the regularisation of their trades can be seen in the large number of archival sources that have survived. These documents describe booksellers with a regulated trade and commercial infrastructure; printers, on the other hand, are depicted as having no particular organisation. La reglamentació dels oficis del llibre i el control del seu comerç són els dos fonaments de l’associacionisme del negoci del llibre. La invenció de la impremta va transformar el món librari conegut i el corporativisme dels llibreters de la Corona d’Aragó durant tota l’època moderna, amb bastant endarreriment en comparació amb altres oficis, va pretendre clarificar els conflictes d’intrusisme professional que al seu parer intentaven imposar els impressors. La polèmica entre llibreters i impressors per aconseguir la regularització dels seus oficis es percep en el gran nombre de fonts arxivístiques que han pervingut. Aquests documents descriuen els llibreters amb un ofici regulat i infraestructura comercial; als impressors, en canvi, se’ls dibuixa sense cap organització particular.
