Abstract:	In the last year, tourism continued to be a key driver of the global economic recovery, and a vital contributor to job creation, poverty alleviation, environmental protection and multicultural peace and understanding across the globe. On the other hand, in 2015, according to a press realise on the 18th of January 2016, Spain received 1.184 billion tourists, an increase of 4.4% when compared with the same period last year. Moreover, according to Inteltur’s economic report, Spanish 2015’s tourism contribution to Gross Domestic Product was €4.968 billion - an increase of 2% on previous year. The travel agency sector, in contrast to the tourism industry, has experienced not only a reduction on the amount of travel agencies, but also a decline on turnover. This is mainly due to an increase in the turnover of online agencies, which have reduced the number of intermediaries in this sector and as a result the cost of their products. In order to deal with the competition that on line agencies generate, this assignment intends to carry out an exhaustive analysis about the added value of the travel agencies. The value added has become a main tool in order to achieve the corporate objectives. Finally, the capacity of the traditional travel agencies to add value to their products, and also to optimise and improve their technology will be the key that will offer a stable and solid future growth and development to the industry of the traditional travel agencies.
