Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: The “canell obert” is a colloquial expression which has scarce medical evidence/diagnosis.Trauma lesions on hands take the first positions in work environment, provoking the 25% of the work leaves and the 20% of disabilities. OBJECTIVES: This study about the “canell obert” has got the following five objectives: To find out which is the most prevailing symptomatology. To classify those lesions which are included in the former concept based on population’s thoughts. To classify those lesions in which this conceit is also included for the population. To prove it has not got just a unique etymology. To research its prevalence and to uncover which are people’s beliefs about the concept studied.
