Abstract:ABSTRACTObjective:This bibliographic review aims to demonstrate the beneficial impact of humanized care throughout the birthing process for the mother, the newborn and the companion, as well as to identify the monitoring by the obstetric team, following up the recommendations of WHO (World Health Organization) for the care of humanized childbirth.Methodology:This is a descriptive and documentary study, carried out througha systematic bibliographic review of publications in health science databases for 6 months (from October 2019 to March 2020).Results:A total of 12 studies were collected, 17% of which deal with the adherence of the obstetric team to the WHO recommendations of humanized childbirth and the other 83% deal with the benefits of humanized childbirth in the triad mother-newborn-companion.Conclusion:The benefits of a Humanized Childbirth for the mother and the newborn are evidenced, but the studies that dealwith the impact of humanized childbirth for the mother's companion in the process are minimal. Regarding the adherence of the obstetric team to the WHOrecommendations for humanized birthing, it has been shown that despite the professionals being aware of the correct and inappropriate techniques and having action protocols, both due to the burden of work or because of the lack of resources, humanized labor is not always carried out correctly. On the contrary, all the articles agree with the need of healtheducation for pregnant women about what a humanized childbirth is and what the benefits, conditions and rights are a mother can demand in the care of her childbirth.
