Abstract:ABSTRACT Aim: To identify the effectiveness of mental health interventions in homeless people. Methodology: systematic review of the literature based on existing evidence to answer the main research question. In this thesis, the search guidelines according to the PRISMA Declaration are followed. The quality of the scientific evidence was evaluated through the Spanish Critical Reading Skills Program. The search period ran from November 2019 to May 2020. Outcomes: 12 articles met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Homeless health interventions, such as active listening, are poorly individualized and developmentally ineffective. The elements that define a homeless health intervention are individualism and the tendency to avoid, in addition to the absence of health. There is a direct relationship between the appearance of stressful life events (SLE) and homelessness. This correlation is more common in the female gender. The most common hospital admissions occurred in homeless health interventions with mental illness and are characterized by a lack of accessibility and follow-up. Conclusions: Mental health interventions for homeless people need effectives programs and devices so these interventions have a humanistic and effective vision. Keywords: Mental health, mental health interventions, effectiveness, homeless, nursing care, screening.
