Abstract:Abstract The current social situation of deaf people is still far from the integration that it seems to have in society, especially in healthcare. We know what happens in this community so appears the need to develop a project for the future study of the needs of deaf people in the field of health, considering important the knowledge of their perceptions by first hand. For this, the main objective would be to identify the needs, perceptions and feelings of the deaf population in Vendrell during the annual period of 2015-2016, and specific objectives would be important to define the characteristics of deaf people and their needs at the hospital level, also known communication barriers and problems that are the deaf signers and know the resources available to nurses to care for these people. For this, the qualitative method is used; Technical data collection will be through semi-structured interviews, then transcribed to be analyzed and a set of conclusions that will develop strategies in the future to establish a protocol specialized care for deaf people in healthcare.
