Abstract:In this document aspects that until recently did not exist, as the relationship between law and sport are treated. Specifically in 1971 the first statement (Central Labour Court) where this relationship and since then, has evolved to establish the Royal Decree 1006/1985, where the special relationship is regulated professional athletes was given was drafted. The Workers' Statute provides that the relationship between professional athletes is a special working relationship, and this specialty is given by the subjective realm, where the figure of the athlete has real importance, and is where the first debate is the work done, which states that the professional athlete is one who has a higher economic return than they can be a mere subsistence or travel expenses. Then formal aspects established by Royal Decree 1006/1985 are analyzed and compared with the collective labor agreement, such as the day and the trial period, remuneration, duration and breaks and holidays, all these aspects being regulated in employment contract or agreement regulating the relevant sport or competition. More differentiated aspects of the common regulation such as the transfer of athletes, prohibited by the Statute of Workers and widely used in sports, and contract termination thereof, which are classified are also covered by wills party, being able to terminate the contract by mutual agreement or unilateral will. Finally reference to the clause, which establishes the compensation figure the player has to pay the club if want to leave without cause becomes.
