Abstract:
An analysis of different Marxist authors’ theories about society, followed by a comparison with the movie Her and the episode from Black Mirror called Nosedive, which also criticize the nowadays society and its dependence on technology. People do not seem to be much concerned about this dependence and its consequences, so this may leave the reader with second thoughts about the abuse of technology and our unconscious contribution to a capitalist system. This paper merges both perspectives of Marxist authors referring to real world and the fictional societies from these pieces of media.
