Abstract:Abstract Elder people are one of the most vulnerable groups of the actual social system, likely to acquire chronic diseases and to live other situations which increase the risk of suffering various kinds of abuse. The objective of this literature review is improve the knowledge about the risk factors that have who do and who suffers the abuse to improve the nursing and others health professional detection. The results after the review of 28 articles of different databases(Cinahl, Scopus, Dialnet, Cuiden y Pubmed) between January and March of 2016 introduce a profile of the victim show to be woman, have any degenerative illness, be socially isolated…;the profile of perpetrator show addictions, mental illness and have a bad relationship with elder person. And, finally, add brief indications about detection and warning signs of abuse. Understanding these factors, nurses can improve both prevention and the aid relationship in the mistreatment of the elderly.
