Abstract:Gamification in comparison to slide-based presentations when teaching young learners. This study aims to investigate the effect of gamification pedagogical methods in contrast with slide-show presentations in ESL classrooms and online lessons for young learners. In this study, 24 children between the ages of five to twelve years undertake a cloze test as means of pre-treatment data and then receive one of four treatments based on presentation-based lessons or gamification-based lessons. Students also took a questionnaire to gain quantantative data.
