Abstract:This project deals about the construction of an oil mill, to carry out the activity of virgin olive oil production. Olive oil is the juice extracted from the olive, the fruit of the olive tree. A study of alternatives has been carried out to analyze and evaluate the different options, determining their strengths and weaknesses. The location of the mill will be in the municipality of Reus, in an industrial estate. The nave will be rectangular, where different spaces can be distinguished; The first zone will be destined for the reception of the olive, where it will be unloaded, cleaned, weighed and sent to the storage hoppers; The second part will be destined FOR the process of extraction of the olive oil, consisting of grinding, shaking, separation of the solid phase of the liquid, centrifugating and decanting. Then the oil will be sent to the warehouse where it will be stored and from there it will be sent in bulk or packaged (with filtering option or not) in 1 and 5 l containers. The other nave areas, will work as a Warehouse for containers and finished product, a laboratory for the corresponding analysis, dressing rooms and toilets and finally administration and reception areas. The foundation of the nave will consist of concrete elements (assembled if necessary), mounted on site; While the structure will consist of prefabricated elements of reinforced concrete. The installation of water, lighting, electricity, cooling and anti-fire installations will be necessary, designed according to the current regulations. In this project, a correct waste management has been done, classifying them according to the Catalan waste agency. Finally, a total budget and a financial assessment have been carried out, concluding that it is an economically viable project.
