| Abstract: | The mobility of people and goods has increased significantly in recent decades in the city of Cartagena (Colombia), driven by different socioeconomic activities, with consequent environmental impacts. The reduction of these impacts depends on the public policies implemented, in many cases conditioned by the interests of the private sector. The objectives of this research are to (i) identify the opinions of public and private sector actors related to mobility in Cartagena and (ii) analyze the proposals that these actors put forward to achieve sustainable mobility. The results, derived from in-depth interviews conducted with 11 stakeholders in Cartagena and Bogotá, show the lack of a multimodal public transport system, deficiencies in the mobility infrastructure, the informality of certain means of public transport and road insecurity. The proposals put forward include the adoption of a mobility plan, the promotion of multimodal transport, the promotion of active modes of transport, the enforcement of road safety standards and the adoption of a mobility plan. |
