Resum: This paper presents recommendations to guide public policy for the development of teachers' digital competence (CDD in spanish) in pedagogical programs of the country. These recommendations have been constructed from the perspective of the situational analysis were the performance of 273 pedagogy students from Chilean public universities was considered, as well as groups of discussion with national experts. We propose 41 recommendations distributed in four dimensions of the CDD, which seek to improve the levels of development of this competence in majors and contribute to a better use of ICT at the service of learning in education.
