Abstract:
Locative expressions like darrere meu, sota seu, damunt nostre, etc., appear in Catalan grammars and dictionaries. However, Catalan expressions like típic seu, enmig seu, via seu and abans seu, among others, are increasingly common. This can be considered an expansion of the use of possessive words as genitive forms of personal pronouns. This paper reports on this phenomenon.
