Resumen:
Synthetic approach to the evolution of political life in Catalonia between 1820 and 1823, from the deployment of the constitutional regime and its main supports, to the development of the counter-revolution and the realistic anti-revolution that ended in civil war and the French invasion, passing through the division of the liberals between moderate and exalted. The analysis of the confrontation between the various political cultures in dispute: liberal / constitutional and absolutist / realist, their social and geographical bases and their doctrinal and propagandistic foundations, allow us to deepen the division of Catalan society during the Liberal Triennium. The deployment, for the first time, of the constitutional regime, was accompanied by a three-pole confrontation between moderate liberals, exalted liberals and realists that greatly hindered their development.
