Abstract: El presente artículo describe la investigación desarrollada por treinta y cuatroinvestigadores profesores, de Universidades españolas y portuguesas, mostrando lanecesidad de ofrecer una alternativa de educación en valores atendiendo comomarco la experiencia del voluntariado que se dedica a una parte de los marginadosde la sociedad actual.Las asociaciones de voluntariado forman parte de un gran colectivo de experienciasque se manifiestan a través de sus voluntarios: invirtiendo su tiempo, su imaginación y su profesionalidad para buscar los recursos necesarios y dar el apoyo a las personas con las que trabajan.La crisis ha conllevado un aumento de la bolsa social de la pobreza. A esta nuevarealidad y no sólo desde la teoría, sino con acciones concretas, las universidadespueden aportar nuevos esquemas a esta nueva problemática de la sociedad actual. This article describes the research conducted for thirty-four researchers teachers,Spanish and Portuguese Universities, showing the need to provide an alternativebasis of values education as a framework volunteer experience that is dedicated tosome of the margins of society today.Voluntary associations are part of a large group of experiences that manifestthemselves through our volunteers, investing their time, imagination andprofessionalism to find the necessary resources and support to people with whomthey work.The crisis has led to an increase in the social stock of poverty. In this new reality and not just theory, but with concrete actions, universities can provide new systems to this new problem of society.
