Abstract:
This Thesis is a reflection of the process that has emerged from testing a methodology involving two different groups of children and teenagers in an urban environment. This methodology is based on the transference of the photographic camera to the participants with the final purpose of documenting their own reality by themselves either through group activities or individual practice. Through observation and interviews, participants have developed a discourse and praxis about the most representative subjects of their daily lives. One of the primary aims of this research has been to value the potential that this methodology has in documenting otherness in social research and also in developing a horizontal relationship between researchers and informants, in benefit of the methodologies that help participation and the applicability of the anthropological knowledge
