Abstract:
Theoretical-empirical thesis which the issue of risk is addressed within the field of drug addiction from a genealogic and discursive perspective, making use of the concept of governmentality as an analytical category. It problematizes the historical becoming of policies and drug use in Western societies, through critical analysis of 'drugs problem' in Spanish society. For this, it starts from the theoretical and ethical assumption that the understanding of the present of drugs has necessarily to problematize the processes of objectivation and subjectivation through which the phenomenon of legal and illegal drug use became a social problem, being the risk a differential management device of populations. In short, it is proposed to know how were forged certain facts and truths that made it possible that this object-drugs-became object of thought, ie, object of government.
