    Resumen:
The doctoral thesis“El treball educatiu a la primera infància: la programació com a millora de la pràctica professional” (Education in early infancy: programming as a means of improving professional practice) analyzes and reflects on “who, how when and why” education is planned during the first cycle of infant education. One of the common and implicit tasks of any educator, from a professional perspective, is programming. The way in which this is carried out depends on many different factors, in particular the guidelines of the educational administration, the educational project implemented at the school, the agreements between members of the teaching team, the training received, and personal characteristics and convictions, among others. The research analyzes the opinions of professionals, which models they use, which difficulties they face, what would make their planning easier; in short the current situation is subjected to a thorough analysis. The thesis concludes by analysing which tools and resources would optimize their work and makes a new proposal for carrying out programming.
