Schizotypy has been proposed as the genetic vulnerability expression of schizophrenia. The available evidence shows at the same time similarities between schizotypy and schizophrenia not only at a genetic level but also in psychophysiological abnormalities, multidimensional structure, neuropsychological deficits and certain personality characteristics. In this thesis the aim was to determine the pathological personality traits and cognitive deficits in siblings of patients with psychosis, taking into account their schizotypal features. Therefore, two studies were designed, the first focusing on pathological personality and the second on cognitive deficits. We conclude that schizotypy in siblings of patients with psychosis is associated with a particular profile of pathological personality as well as deficits in performance on vigilance / sustained attention. These variables could potentially increase the risk in siblings of patients with psychosis.
