Resum: This TFG deals with two varieties of British English: Received Pronunciation and Standard Southern British English. The aim is to compare the two with HM The King, Charles III and his son HRH William, The Prince of Wales as reference; as well as the mechanisms involved in the evolution of RP into its modern equivalent (SSB). The comparison was carried out using graphic material, that is: public speeches and interviews; as well as a historical recording of Charles’ investiture as Prince of Wales and its recreation in Netflix’s TV series The Crown. The data obtained in the graphic material analysis exemplifies and reinforces the findings in the theoretical background. The research found that the accents of the participants are in a process of shifting and have not remained the same with time. The accents of neither William nor Charles are purely RP or SSB; only the recreation in The Crown is purely RP. Aquest TFG tracta de dues varietats de l'anglès britànic: Received Pronunciation i Standard Southern British English. L'objectiu és comparar els dos amb el HM El Rei, Carles III i el seu fill HRH William, El Príncep de Gal·les com a referència; així com els mecanismes implicats en l'evolució de RP al seu equivalent modern (SSB). La comparació es va realitzar amb material gràfic, és a dir: discursos i entrevistes públiques; així com un enregistrament històric de la investidura de Carles com a Príncep de Gal·les i la seva recreació a la sèrie de televisió de Netflix The Crown. Les dades obtingudes en l'anàlisi del material gràfic exemplifiquen i reforcen les troballes en el fons teòric. La investigació va trobar que els accents dels participants estan en un procés de canvi i no han romàs igual amb el temps. Els accents de ni Guillem ni Carles són purament RP o SSB; només la recreació a La Corona és purament RP.
