    Abstract:
    USE IMPLEMENTATION OF A PRESSURE MOULDING MACHINE IN VISCOELASTIC SYSTEMS We will study how to implement the use of a pressure moulding machine “IN MOULD PRESSURE” as a quality control analysis for viscoelastic systems in Research&Development of polyurethanes laboratory in Bayer MaterialScience S.L. Until now, the use of this mould pressure has been specific to qualitative control with the comparison between samples and standards. The aim of this project is to find out about the mould pressure in different products: how to detect (quantitatively) an excess or a deficit of stabilizer in order to correct it. Currently, there isn’t any laboratory technique to carry out it. Furthermore, we will investigate the different factors which should be involved in results. The main function of a stabilizer in final foam is to open or to close the cell’s foam. When the percentages of the stabilizer varied, different compression and decompression pressures are measured. Finally, because of the results, we took advantage of this information to fix a qualitative specification interval using the pressure moulding machine for different types of Bayer’s products.
