Abstract:
The collaborative tourism is growing exponentially worldwide, this being a new way of traveling and meeting destinations, in which the tourist has an open, near and curious mind when knowing the lifes of residents of a destination. In addition, there are fewer technological, economic, social and cultural barriers that make these tourist practices. Thus, one of the most successful collaborative platforms have had worldwide is Airbnb, being Barcelona the case study and that has created many controversies. These conflicts have occurred because some shared tourist accommodation, entire floors and advertised on these platforms do not meet the parameters established by the law. For this reason we must control and anticipate the possible adversities to adjust the maximum possible effects of illegal shared flats to the metropolitan city of Barcelona.
