    Abstract:
    Accessible tourism is a typology of tourism with great potential and relevancy for the sector, with a large number of advantages both for the sector and for the same destination and its image. That is why many tourist destinations have focused their strategies to adapt their attractions and monuments to the attraction of this type of tourism, like the case of the city of Barcelona. In recent years, many cities have adapted to accessible tourism and this has benefited the existence of a greater number of people with disabilities in all kinds of destinations. However, there are still destinations that present barriers. Therefore, this work seeks to learn in detail the characteristics of this typology of tourism, also the legislation that affects him. As well as study the perceptions of users and their companions about accessible tourism and analyze the degree of accessibility of different tourist establishments in the city of Barcelona. And somehow raise awareness in society about the importance of accessible tourism and the role that plays to the companies and destinations that adapt to this collective.
