Abstract: Death is one of the stages of the life cycle in which health professionals are present. This death can be due to a terminal illness, which goes through several stages in which the patient will have great suffering. For this type of patient, it will be necessary to provide a great comfort and well-being, which will ultimately lead to a worthy death. But, what is the best performance to achieve this result? The answer is in the patient's preference of how and where to die. In this work, the main objective will be to know the needs of the terminal patient, but above all to know the main benefits that cares for the patient terminal at his home. For the realization of the work, a bibliographic review has been made in different databases, in which 19 scientific articles have been selected that speak about the attention to the terminally ill at their address. Regarding the results obtained, the majority of authors agreed that the main need for terminal patients and their relatives is communication. On the other hand, they have also been the majority of articles showing the great benefits of caring for end-users at home. In conclusion, we can see that with technological and scientific advances, death has ceased to be a natural fact, since it is controlled and depersonalised. This fact causes an extension of the patient's agony, and what he really needs is to die peacefully without any suffering. In this way, we can say that the best place to avoid this suffering will be the domicile, where it will be in its environment. La mort constitueix una de les etapes del cicle vital en la qual els professionals de la salut estan presents. Aquesta mort pot ser a causa d’una malaltia terminal, la qual passa per diverses fases en les que el pacient tindrà un gran sofriment. Per a aquest tipus de pacient, serà necessari aportar un gran confort i benestar que el porti al final a tenir una mort digna. Però, quina és la millor actuació per a arribar a aquest resultat? La resposta està en la preferència del pacient en cóm i on morir. En aquest treball, l’objectiu principal serà conèixer les necessitats que presenta el malalt terminal, però sobretot conèixer els principals beneficis que aporte el cuidatge del malalt terminal al seu domicili. Per a la realització del treball, s’ha fet una revisió bibliogràfica en diferents bases de dades, en les que s’han seleccionat 19 articles científics que parlen sobre l’atenció als malalts terminals al seu domicili. Pel que fa als resultats obtinguts, la majoria d’autors han coincidit que la necessitat principal dels malalts terminals i els seus familiars és la comunicació. Per altra banda, també han sigut la majoria d’articles on s’ha mostrat els gran beneficis que aporta el cuidatge dels pacients terminals al seu domicili. En conclusió, podem veure que amb els avanços tecnològics i científics, la mort ha deixat de ser un fet natural, ja que és controlada i despersonalitzada. Aquest fet, provoca una prolongació de l’agonia del malalt, i el que realment necessita és morir en pau sense cap sofriment. D’aquesta manera, podem dir que el millor lloc per evitar aquest patiment serà el domicili, on estarà al seu entorn.
