Abstract:
Adolescents, and children, that join in the Adolescent Crisis Unit (UCA) and Children's Day Hospital (HDIJ) of the Pere Mata Institute Hospital in Reus, describe behaviors, beliefs and roles that perpetuate and justify gender violence. Whether they are behaviors they perceive from their partners or behaviors that they manifest towards them. Young people come to normalize violent and aggressive behavior, justifying them as their own and assuming in the frame work of a healthy relationship. The youngest women have a higher prevalence of psychological control violence throughout their lives. From the 38.3% prevalence of girls between 16 and 24 years old, this is reduced as the age increases. This prevalence also increases if you increase the number of couples in your life. With the implementation of the Participatory Action Research Project, in the study some aspects such as healthy relationship, love, awareness and ability to identify situations of violence in the couple can be addressed by helping to improve situations of vulnerability of this collective and by introducing concepts such as control, respect, power relations, jealousy, assertiveness and tolerance. With the objectives of knowing the factors that work out well gender violence: factors that are involved in normalizing behavior of domination and power, processes that determine the construction of the genre and how to establish the relations of power / control in the relationships of a couple. The growing tendency of gender violence, as an expression of the asymmetrical relationships of power between boys and girls, shows the risk that it represents in the adolescence stage in the youth group with disorder of the child, given their specific difficulties in the aspects of self-esteem, confrontation, assertiveness and empathy, critical thinking, as well as the influence of stereotypical social patterns of gender. After going into detail about the experiences, perceptions and providing the space for debate and reflection, a content analysis will be made and the impact of the intervention will be quantified in the second phase.
