Bibliographical Review on the relationship between Mobbing and Burnout in Health Professionals

    Abstract:
    INTRODUCTION: In the healthcare sector, many professional risks usually are not identify by the organizations or the society in general. Consequently, the professional life of the victims is affected at all. The following bibliographic revision is aimed to study the relationship between two problems, which nowadays are present in this sector. These problems studied are the Mobbing and Burnout. METHODOLOGY: To be able to do this investigation, it is realised a systematic revision of selected scientific articles from different databases, such us: PubMed, Cinhal, Wiley Online Library, Cuiden and Scielo. Through inclusion and exclusion criteria. RESULTS: Twelve articles were selected, which showed a clear relationship between Mobbing and Burnout. At the same time, they showed the high psychosocial risk of those problems. In addition, Mobbing and Burnout can develop others physic, psychic problems or even interfere in the working place, reducing the working yield and finally being able to get to leave the workplace. CONCLUSION: A clear impact on working and personal life can be observed in those healthcare professionals who suffer Mobbing and/or Burnout Syndrome during their career.
