Revive. The experience of four people in the organ transplant process.

Abstract:
Organ donation and transplantation is a very present topic in society, because there are many people who depend on a vital organ to continue living when they suffer from certain pathologies whose only treatment it’s him transplant. We decided that our study was going to focus on knowing the experience of the trasplanted people to find out how the process has been since they give you the news of the need for an organ transplant until the adaptation and recovery of the same. Our priority as future nurses was to know how these people have been able to feel during their illness, what feelings and thoughts they have been able to have at this stage of their lives, as well as how they have felt supported by their family and health team. Method: Qualitative study of phenomenological character and hermaneutic, where four people organ transplanted have participated and they tell us their experience of their transplant. They were given an open interview despite having a previous script. Results: The study shows that, despite the experience the teach person is unique and personal, the participants agree in several aspects, as in the importance of the support of their family and friends at this time, the fear they suffer once they know they have a disease and they have to be intervened, the though of death… Conclusion: Society should be aware of how important organ donation is to sabe lives, there are many people on the waiting list, living the uncertainty, what happens if they don’t fin dan organ for that person, ori f when they find it, it’s too late.
