    Abstract:
The fishing tourism is a touristic activity where a fisherman shows to tourists one of the fishing art, major or minor, and always on board of fish boat, appropriated taught technique. It means that it is a practice it benefits both economic sectors: primary and tertiary. It allows, on the one hand, the economic and cultural sustainability of the town that exercises it, as long as it has got a fishing port, and on the other hand, as it is still an experience very unknown by the public, it implies to be an alternative to mass tourism that usually has on the coast: the sun and beach tourism. Through an exhaustive analysis and emptying of tourism related to fishing and sea of all coastal municipalities throughout Catalonia, only four locations have incorporated the fishing tourism in their touristic offer. For this reason, the main objective of this study is the dissemination of that, and thus the contribution of new sensations to consumers. Then, in order to know which requirements are necessary for its implementation, it has studied as a specific case: Sant Carles de la Ràpita, a Catalan village of totally fishing origin and wasted in this way, because it has got an active fishing sector and culture, an available diversity of touristic resources, a profile of familiar tourism, a sheltered natural harbour, and above all, the initiative and willingness to impart it by the fishermen of that town.
