    Abstract:
Nowadays is increasingly important an inclusive education where all students are respected and have the same opportunities and aids to achieve learning as other students (Giné, 2001). That is why, in this paper, we have analysed the schools in Catalonia to see the current operation of the reception classes and help foster the educational inclusion of newcomer students. As instruments, we have done two interviews with key people from the same school. We have also administered a telematic survey aimed at teachers from all over Catalonia with a reception classes at their school. The results obtained show the most relevant factors in the process of adaptation of newcomers: The involvement of families, emotions and language. On the other hand, most teachers believe that the situation of lockdown due to COVID-19 will affect newcomer students more than other students. Finally, the importance of heterogeneity in the classroom is concluded, to learn together. Besides, it is necessary to develop emotional bonds for language acquisition and provide support to improve the attitude towards learning.
