Abstract: Actualment la manca d’hàbits saludables és la causa de molts dels problemes de salut que pateix la societat actual i moltes d’aquestes conductes, s’adquireixen a l’adolescència. Per aquest motiu, ens hem proposat definir les funcions de la Infermeria Escolar, així com també identificar l’actual situació d’aquesta figura a Catalunya i conèixer el punt de vista dels docents sobre aquesta. A fi i efecte d’aconseguir aquests objectius, hem realitzat una recerca bibliogràfica que hem complementat amb una metodologia qualitativa realitzada a base de sis entrevistes a diferents docents. Els resultats obtinguts a partir d’aquestes dues metodologies deixen entreveure que hi ha un clar desconeixement per part dels docents en relació a la infermera escolar i les seves funcions, així com també del significat de promoció de la salut, prevenció de la malaltia i educació per la salut. En conclusió, hi ha la necessitat de realitzar una gran difusió a tota la comunitat docent de la figura de la infermera escolar i de les seves funcions: promoció de la Salut, educació sanitària i prevenció de les malalties, com una manera d’evitar problemàtiques que poden aparèixer durant aquesta etapa escolar i fomentarne una millor salut. Currently the lack of healthy habits is the cause of many of the Health problems that today’s society suffers from and many of these behaviors are acquired in adolescence. For this reason we have set out to define the functions of School Nursing as well as identify the current situation of this figure in Catalonia and know the point of view of teachers on it. In order to achieve these objectives, we have carried out a bibliographic research that we have complemented with a qualitative methodology based on six interviews with different teachers. The results obtained from these two methodologies suggest that there is a clear ignorance on the part of teachers in relation to the School Nurse and her duties, as well as with the meaning of Health promotion, disease prevention and Health education, which makes it difficult its implementation in classrooms. In conclusion, there is a need to make a great dissemination to the entire teaching community of the figure of the school nurse and her functions: health promotion, health education and disease prevention, as a way to avoid problems. which may appear during this school stage and promote better health.
