    Abstract:
The Ebro Delta’s regression is a phenomenon that, for many years, has worried the vast majority of the Delta’s population. According to Abella (2020), a member of the Platform in Defense of the Ebro (PDE), every year, the Delta’s coastline is reduced by 15 meters, although we have seen how the storm Gloria has accelerated the Delta’s coastline reduction to three kilometers in just three days. The aim of this research is to analyze and assess the economic impact caused by the storm Gloria on the Migjorn beach, which belongs to the town of Sant Jaume d'Enveja. We also aim at finding out what individuals would be willing to pay in order to bring the beach back to its original state. In order to carry out this assessment, the contingent assessment method will be used. For this method, it is essential to carry out a series of surveys on a population sample. The final results will reveal what is the economic assessment that individuals make regarding the improvement of an environmental good.
