Abstract:
The proposal is located in Barcelona, on the border between the neighborhood of Fort Pienc and Poblenou, and next to Plaça de les Glòries. The place has appeared as great urban void since the 1950s, constantly crossed by multiple infrastructures that interrupt the homogeneity of the urban grid (Eixample) and generate strange situations. The intervention aims for this gap to function as a link between Glòries / Meridiana and Pere IV, the backbone of Poblenou. Maintaining the character of the void, the program is extended through three blocks of the Eixample, sometimes inhabiting pre-existing buildings.
