Applicability of the Dependency Law: Our elderly are still alone.

Abstract:
Years gone by the promulgation of the Law 39/2006, of 14th December, on Promoting the Personal Autonomy and the Assistance of People with Dependency Situation, and it is evident that the aim of the law has not been reached and it is questioned its efficacy in conjunction with the compliance of their objectives, since a great deal of applications exists and a large period of processing which generates in many cases the aggravation of the different situations of necessity which a large number of people suffered. In the following article, it is analysed the Dependency Law and its modifications and negative consequences in the elderly. It is carried out through a qualitative methodology consisting in the bibliographic review of different authors which puts on evidence that our elderly go on without being covered in their basic needs and loneliness.
