    Abstract:
The final work of the degree I have done on foster care. This resource has been created for when a minor cannot live with his family and must leave his family nucleus to go live with another family for a period of time. This measure prevents the minor from entering a Residential Educational Action Center (CRAE). Previously, when a child was separated from his or her biological family, the first option of placement was based on residential care, and it has been observed that this is not the most beneficial option for the child, because his or her mental health was totally affected in a negative way. This research has focused on studying two questions. The first one has been centred on studying the fact that there are no families or persons who want to take in minors who live in a situation of special vulnerability, and the second question has been centred on studying what the accompaniment of the professionals of the reception services is like with regard to the families during this process. Seven interviews were carried out during the research: five interviews with host families and two interviews with professionals in the field of reception.
