Abstract: Introducción: En los adolescentes diabéticos, se identifican sentimientos que afectan al control glucémico. Objetivo: evaluar si el apoyo psicológico al adolescente diabético mejora el control glucémico. Metodología: revisión bibliográfica de artículos, publicados entre 2015 y 2020. Resultados: se seleccionaron diez artículos que cumplieran con los criterios de inclusión y los criterios CASPe. Los estudios reflejan el estrés que conlleva lidiar con diabetes. Brindar apoyo psicológico contribuye a mejorar el control glucémico y la calidad de vida, mediante la resiliencia. Conclusión: identificar con antelación la carga emocional y ofrecer apoyo psicológico que aborde las necesidades propias del adolescente y la diabetes. Background: Type 1 diabetes Mellitus (DM1) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects children and adolescents. In adolescents with diabetes, feelings are identified that put the responsibility of self-care at risk, affecting glycemic control and quality of life. Aim: to evaluate whether psychological support to the diabetic adolescent improves glycemic control. Methodology: bibliographic review of scientific articles in which clinical trials, qualitative research and cohort studies are carried out, published between 2015 and 2020. Results: a total of ten articles were selected that met the inclusion criteria, and followed the CASPe selection criteria. Studies reflect the stress and anguish that comes with dealing with diabetes. Providing psychological support to adolescents with T1D contributes to improving glycemic control, quality of life and self-care, through the development of mechanisms of strength and resilience. Conclusion: the nursing professional should be able to identify in advance the negative emotional charge caused by self-control and offer psychological support that fully addresses the needs of adolescent development and those related to diabetes.
