    Study of the effects of the disturbances generated by the contactors in maneuvers of three-phase induction motors AUTHOR: Víctor Insa Pascual SUPERVISOR: Luis Guasch Pesquer victor.insa@estudiants.urv.cat Summary. In order to analyse the disturbances produced by the delays of closing and opening the contactors in some maneuvers of three-phase induction motors, it has been simulated a set of tests corresponding to the following maneuvers: star-delta starter; starting with stator resistances; rotation reversal. For each maneuver, it has been simulated different times of performance of the three power contacts of the contactor. The analysis of the results obtained at 61 tests simulated by PSIM, indicates that disturbances caused by considering that the contactor is not ideal are not significant in any of the analyzed variables: current, torque and speed. It has also been found that the disturbances are more involved in the moment when the maneuver is initiated than the time of delay of the contactors.
