Designing a test platform for a LSRM (Linear Swiched Reluctance Motor) motor

    Abstract:
    This project has made in order to develop a test platform for a LRSM motor and design a control system to operate it in a simple way. For the development of the test platform we have used, as far as possible, the most economical elements available trying to create our elements responsible for capturing data voltage, current, temperature, etc, through basic components and circuits designed specifically for each required function. Also, for management and storage of data we have used the Arduino platform in some of the trials. This tool has the feature of being very economical and useful due to the large number of inputs and outputs, both digital and analog, it has. In the project we can see how the platform Arduino has certain limitations of data sampling. Because of this we also have required a digital oscilloscope for data extraction. For the processing of data and the subsequent development of relevant graphs we have used MATLAB, a powerful program that handles iterations using expressions that are calculated and specified in each test. Among the tests that can be found in this project, we have a heating test (temperature-time), a trial strength (force-position), a trial magnetic characteristic (concatenated fluxe-intensity-position) and we have finally designed a phase control type with proposals of possible improvements with the addition of less economical components.
