Computational study on the transborylation reaction via diboranes

    Abstract:
    In this work, a mechanistic study of the reaction mechanism of the recently discovered transborylation reaction via diboranes was performed, which resulted in the discovery of a plausible mechanism for this reaction, that fully agreed with the experimental data. This work also presents a study on the difference of reactivity of these reagents on different solvents, alongside other proposed mechanisms for other reactions.
