    Abstract:
In the wake of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, there has been a legal debate concerning the restrictions and limits of fundamental rights. Those rights have been affected by the regulations imposed by governments to deal with this situation. This article deals specifically with the area of the right of assembly, which has the biggest is impact. The study is divided into two clear sections: on the one hand, the theoretical part of the right, where the concept and the limits it can be subject to, will be analysed. On the other hand, the more applied part examines the effects of Royal Decree 463/2020 on the right of assembly and the existing possibility of resorting to other regulations to articulate the limitations and restrictions allowed by the spanish constitution.
