Analysis of the narrative style in The City of Mist: the musicality among the fog

Abstract:
Zafon's prose has envolved over the years. Nevertheless, it still retains that magical essence that has duped millions of readers. The interweaving of different literary resources make up his style to narrate plots, to recreate environments, and to describe characters. In this academic work, we will study Ruiz Zafon's narrative technique in his posthumous work, La Ciudad de Vapor. In order to carry out this task, we will analyze some fragments of this compilation of stories which has been selected previously. Likewise, through a comparative study, we will observe similarities and differences among the narrative elements of his work.
